Clouds and patterns...

Yesterday saw me visiting (a very cloudy) Manchester for some inspiration, which I found at Platt Hall, Whitworth Gallery and Castlefield Gallery (there are unexpected things happening there). Having never visited Platt Hall before I was really taken with the beautiful building and textiles housed there...

Textiles fair...

Kind of want to keep this to myself, but realise that would just be mean! The Manchester antique textiles fair is an amazing event with a dizzying array of stalls, from clothes and cloth, to lace and buttons. I have been a number of times in past years (and plan to be there in March!) and I have to say it never fails to deliver.

Animal print...

I wouldn't normally talk about fashion on here, but I am liking the new take on animal print from fashion designer Charlotte Taylor, she's also originally from Lancashire which is no bad thing!
